Skip started coming to Wallowa County in the 1970s when he accompanied his son and other boys on a weekend outing at Two Pan. He and his wife Shannon bought their first home in Wallowa County in 1999, eventually purchased Wallowa Mountain Properties, and then the old Tomas building remodeling it into the Business Center Building.
He holds a degree in economics, is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, has been a real estate broker since 2005 and has long been involved in economic development. Skip has competed in rodeos and over twenty marathons qualifying for and running the Boston Marathon. He was recognized by the Wallowa County Chamber of Commerce for leading the Wallowa County Economic Action Team and has been honored as the Veteran of the Year at the Chief Joseph Days Rodeo.
